Shuttle

When we're shooting into space
Growing and lessening
Weakening and fortifying
We can be children again
More so than when we were young

Look at that child on her mother's knee
She's almost 46 years old
And her mum is learning how to be as soft
As a baby. She's untying the knot
Letting herself become one orbit of the sun

And here we are gazing into space
From a different Milky Way
How can it be anything other than magic
When we lose anything attached to our shell
and every day means a million more shells on the shore
